HOSA Chapter members who are High School Seniors going to a 4-year or 2-year program in a health care field or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma can apply!
Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,500.

We raise funds for health profession scholarships selecting outstanding HOSA students in PA to receive our post-secondary scholarships
We've raised $1 million and have given out nearly 500 scholarships.

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a national career and technical student organization with 110 Penn HOSA high school chapters.

Named after our co-founder and former Executive Director Helen Heidelbaugh, we're happy to announce our third annual ASPIRE Scholarship winners. Last year (2023) we gave out over a dozen scholarships totaling $51,500.
ABOUT THE ASPIRE AWARD
This $5,500 scholarship is in honor of our past Executive Director Helen Heidelbaugh who founded “Community Volunteers in
Medicine” in Chester County offering free health care for uninsured individuals and
families many of whom are migrant workers.

ABOUT OUR ASPIRE WINNERS
Students who receive the ASPIRE Scholarship Award not only excel in academics, school activities and leadership in their HOSA chapters, they've made stellar accomplishments in community service, as well.
Connor will be attending the University of Pennsylvania majoring in nursing. He was Vice-President of PennHOSA statewide and is the volunteer Public Relations Manager for Katie's Cupboard. He's a graduate of the Philadelphia School District, Franklin Learning Center.
Helisa will be attending DeSales University majoring in biology. She's been very active in "Students Opposing Drug & Alcohol Abuse," and received the "Assessment of Civic Knowledge Award." She's a graduate of Berks Career Technical School.
Rebecca Goldman (not pictured) will be attending Washington & Lee University majoring in pre-med and public health. She is an active volunteer at the Twin Valley Food Pantry, & received a Girl Scout Silver Award. She's a graduate of the Franklin Career Technical Center.

The Penn HOSA Foundation Scholarship Fund is a fund of the The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC). The Penn HOSA Foundation Scholarship Fund raises funds that provide scholarships to students who are members of Penn HOSA chartered state association chapters of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. This international student organization is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education.
Penn HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.
The Pennsylvania program provides leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for middle school, secondary, post-secondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in Health Science Education programs. HOSA is the only Career and Technology Student Organization (CTSO) that is 100 percent dedicated to health care professions!
Since its inception in 1979, Pennsylvania
HOSA, now known as "PENN HOSA-Future
Health Professionals," has grown steadily
reaching over 3,700 members from the
110 local chartered chapters.
Penn HOSA is a powerful instructional program that works best when it is integrated into the Health Science Education curriculum and classroom providing students with training far beyond the basic technical skills needed for entry into the health care field. The rapidly changing health care system demands dedicated workers who beyond their technical skills are people-oriented and capable of playing leadership and team member roles.
